Spore marathon preparation

For the past 4 weeks, I have been running 21km from Klang stadium to shah alam.
The haze, and now the rain in the evening has not been helping in my run.

Albert and Ms Leong has been very supportive to pace me for the whole distance ( 21km ) though they are not going to singapore and there are no local race for Full Marathon. Thanks to them.
This week , the rain really hampered my training and tomorow, i have to do a another long run 21-25km.

Next week, another 21km at Bidor.
I havent do a 30km yet and the spore marathon is just a month away.

New Mizuno Wave Inspire shoe= tested last sunday run with my new shoe. At a discount 50% , it cost me RM210.00 ., and i intend to use in my spore marathon.
After the run, I feel my knee some pain and i am not sure whether it is contributed by the new shoe.

Well, let see what happens tomorrow.
Good news is I can see blue skies and clouds , please stay that way.

God bless.

Haze again.

Last sunday, the weatherman was 1/2 accurate as there were absolutely no haze during our run for 21km from 6am - 8.12am
The haze was only noticeable when I reach the stadium., and it cover the whole klang town for the rest of the day.

I took this photo 2 days ago , i am staying 1 km away.

Stay away from running if the haze is causing discomfort to you.

Night Training- Taman Rakyat,Sri Andalas, Klang

Hi,

I am Lim Tow Suan - group leader for the Klang pacesetters group.

We normally train in the evening, from 8.30pm till 9.30 ( 1 hr of running ),every Wednesday in a safe
and well lit park called Taman Rakyat,Andalas, Klang.

1 lap covers abt 1.1 km , with some uphill slopes and it is good to de-stress after a hard day's work. We have regular runners who never fail to come even though there may be some drizzle.

After the run, a few of us will stay back for a light dinner or drink at the Malay restuarant in the park and talk about next event.

I have taken some photo of the park ( daytime for photo-shooting only ), comes night
it is even more romantic !!!

So, if you r a runner and always come late from work but cannot find " kaki " to run, come over between 8.30-9.30pm, since it is 1.1km/lap, you r able to spot us, and all you have to do-just JOIN IN !

On Sunday-we will do a long distance run ( from 10km around klang, to 21km fr Klang stadium to Shah Alam ITM roundabout ). If there is major event, most of us will be away.

Our group is supportive to train newcomers.

Pacesetters Athletic Club Malaysia (PACM) is the most active club in the country.
For a membership fee, we are able to enjoy reading the Quarterly buletin " Footloose " which relates runners experiences, race calenders and running tips. Being a member, you can buy branded shoes New Balance, Adidas, Brooks at 30% discount.
Good shoes will protect you and support yr passion for running.
Power gel are sold at discount rate.

Enjoy running

Haze is back again ! It was very bad in KL and in Klang.

No training yesterday night at taman rakyat, Klang .
Pacesetters , Klang group train every wednesday from 8.30 - 9.30 pm.

I wonder how much of haze inhaled in 5 km run, will our lungs get choked?

Today, thursday, is as bad as yesterday.
Hope that what the Star writes that it will last for another 3 days is accurate , at least , we can get back to training for another long run on sunday.

So, keep on running !
chow..lah.
