Life in Ho Chin Minh City, Vietnam is full of discovery during my visit in January,2008.

No kopitiams, but plenty of hawkers with stools , will serve the locals with their basic food like beef noodles, yew chai keow, famous black coffee and cigarettes.

There are hundreds of motorcycles compared to a handful of cars at everyminute.

To cross the road, you need to just walk " thru " , the drivers already know your MINDSET ! ---your are the KING, and they will know how to avoid you. WONDERFULL EXPERIENCE !!! i crossed the road many times - ----

Another visit is the CUCI ( place name ) tunnels, the era of communist fighting against the Americans. History relate that the success of earlier tunnels against the French , the communist then expand the distance and the intricate network of the underground tunnels against the Americans. They succeed eventually.

RUNNING

Though HoChiMInh city is dirty and dusty , I find Peace when I see people jogging around. The pavement next to the road is about 10ft wide and plenty of trees.,giving them shade. I see them jog at late afternoon at 4.30 pm.
