Company Gunung Nuang Trip 2008
Gunung Nuang Peak , 4898 ft ---- our members already arrived.
Morning assembly at the base...everything's new---yellow ponchos, new banner, 16 company staff assisted by 3 good friends to go up Gunung Nuang on 19/4/08. A record for the sports club to encourage "ACTION" activity.
At camp LoLo, resting.....7 remained while Peter and Ms.Chi decides to go up to Leaches Camp ( kem pachat ).
Life in the forest.....freee as a butterfly.
Condition of the road: From base to the dam, they have re-surfaced the road. Excellent condition, better climb this year before some 4-wheeler will go up and spoil the road, unless, you would like to enjoy the thrill of slipping and falling down.
Last group to go up, 1st group to come down-lah......
Again, it was a successful trip for everyone despite that the morning drizzle has caused so much of anxiety whether it will turn into heavy rainfall. The rain stopped within minutes of our climb.

My anxiety even more greater as our car stalled somewhere in the kampung area in semenyih in total darkness.
Peter ( driver ) is always coooL ....as he fix his car by adjusting his clutch lever and we manage to join the whole team who has already in their new " YELLOW PUNCHOS " at the car park. It was still raining.
Result : We are definitely going back there again as a few were frustrated of not reaching the peak, they did not know the distance but actually about 5 minutes away. They turned back after feeling tired.
For me. I enjoyed myself at the waterfall....and shall again lead the team in the dry season.

KLIM 2008
2nd and 3rd runner from Kenya reaching the Dataran Merdeka. The 1st runner was too fast for me to capture ,haha
Another runner fr Pacesetter , going bananas!!!
"Running Mum" , her blogspot name- our Klang pacesetter making the mental killing u-turn at Dataran Merdeka 26km to continue her run to complete here Full Marathon.
Hooi Siew Weng ,71 yrs old, started running at 47 ( 24 yrs running with 30 Full Marathons todate ). Read more about him in Footloose , March edition.
Pacesetter member Phylis and another lady friend help me while I took this photo of my Klang Pacestters banner.
I went to support the KLIM 2008 , I did not run as I am still resting my injured knee.

I was lucky to see the champion coming back in the early morning around 6.45am , he did in 2hr 15min.
I took a strategic position at the junction where the Full marathon has to make a U-turn just before Dataran Merdeka---i refer this as " mental killing " because one can give up upon seeing the FINISHing banner. I was a victim myself in 2004., sometimes, I ask why cant the organiser choose another diversion route.
Anyway, that 's the challenge, dont COMPLAIN, you are a RUNNER !
Well, I hope I am able to recover and run next year 2009 KLIM which I heard shall be sponsored by Standard Chartered. ( it shall be my 5th KLIM ).
Remind me . guys !
